Pedder Bay...

A great option for those looking for a day trip on the water! Offering both half-day and full-day fishing charters, Pedder Bay is perfect for the whole family. At Island Outfitters, we always encourage getting kids out fishing any way they can.  Fishing charters are kid friendly, and the guides love to show them how to reel in the ‘big one’.  Seeing those smiles is what it is all about! Mild weather throughout the year allows visitors the opportunity to enjoy exceptional fishing in a stable and warm climate. Summers in Victoria are typically nothing short of spectacular, and a variety of opportunities exist all year long.

Depart from Pedder Bay RV Resort & Marina located at 925 Pedder Bay Drive. Pedder Bay Marina is located about 35 minutes from downtown Victoria.

In Port Renfrew...

Port Renfrew is a quaint fishing town that prides itself on being “the Jewel of the West Coast".  Only a two-hour scenic drive from Victoria, once there you will feel the laid-back vibe that this small town has to offer. Your Port Renfrew fishing adventure will depart from Pacific Gateway Marina, 17110 Parkinson Road.  This newly renovated marina offers Bridgeman’s West Coast Eatery food truck, perfect for a convenient breakfast on those early mornings.

The Guides

All of the guides are well experienced with fishing the West Coast. Knowing the way of the West Coast waters, they are sure to make your fishing trip unique to your expectations. Whether you are an avid angler looking to run your own rods; or, a novice fisherman looking for a fun day learning new techniques, the guides have the experience needed to make your trip the ultimate West Coast experience. They are all Certified Tidal Angling Guide approved. So rest assured your group will have a safe and enjoyable experience out on the water.

What to bring

We recommend you bring sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and clothing suitable to the weather conditions. An extra layer of clothing may come in handy, as it can get cool out on the water. During winter months, raingear and gloves could also be helpful. Depending on the time of your charter, bringing beverages, a snack or lunch is also a good idea. If you are prone to seasickness taking a drugstore motion sickness pill the night before, or the motion sickness patch is something to consider. Other natural methods are available. See your local pharmacist. You are also required to bring a fishing license which can be purchased online or at Island Outfitters.

After your trip

When your day on the water comes to an end, your guide will clean and package your catch. Further processing can be done through Finest at Sea or St. Jeans Cannery.

We would love to book your next fishing adventure. With over twenty years’ experience, we are sure to set you up with a trip of a lifetime.
