Halibut and Bottom Fish

Looking for monsters from the deep?

As well as Salmon, we also target the magnificent Pacific Halibut, which ranges from 20-250lbs. Often overlooked, Halibut offer exciting angling opportunities, not to mention the culinary benefits that this fine game fish has to offer! Halibut is one of the most prized meals of the Pacific Ocean. Halibut can be caught through much of the year, as with other bottom fish, although the peak season for halibut occurs during the spring and summer months. Other bottom fishing opportunities include fishing for Lingcod, Rockfish, and Yellow-eye Rockfish (also referred to as Red Snapper).

Here is an example of how we set up the Delta Hali Hawg for halibut fishing. Place this set up at the end of your spreader bar, tipped with octopus or any other baitfish and send it down! This is a favorite rig among our guiding fleet and customers alike.
